May 14, 1998, I was flying back to Nome from Kotzebue. As we flew through a cloud, our trip abruply ended on top of Newton Peak, about 5 miles outside of Nome. I just got these pictures, which were taken by a Nome resident a day or two after the crash. After hitting the mountain at 160mph, the 10 people on board were indeed fortunate to all survive. Our guardian angels were with us that day. Treasure each day you have. You truly have no idea which one may be your last.
